Galleries and Chicken Coops
Glitter? Stolen Images? Damn…this piece by Kirstine Roepstorff kicks some serious booty. Via The McLoughlin Gallery in San Francisco.
Is there anything more fun than a rocking chicken coop? Mid century design with modern esthetics. Lucky chicken. I found this little ditty on Jetson Green.
Suddenly I feel like going on vacation. Hmmm…I could spend all day shopping on this site from Kimiko and still not decide which one of her wonderful magnet sets to buy!
Got a minute? Read this article on the Urban Outfitters blog about Annie Novak and her 6000 square foot rooftop garden in Brooklyn. Oh – she has bunnies. Dangerous…but compelling.
Oh yes…must have this piece by Andrew Zimmerman. 45 inches of laquer in my favorite color. Via Sears Peyton Gallery in NYC.
Is it my imagination , or does it feel like the galleries have been given a new lease on art and life? Like they got a transfusion of fresh blood with a dose of caffeine. Everywhere I go I am finding new galleries, new art shows and fabulous talent.
Ok – one more. This is from Shaun Dulaney at Sears Peyton. Great Water - acrylic on linen. Thoughful, quiet and unpretentious.
Have a great week! Later this week I will post about some of the galleries I experienced at the SF Fine Art Fair over the weekend. So great to see so many people out supporting our artists. Our galleries would not exist if not for the patronage and generosity of our art buyers and collectors. Each purchase inspires and energizes the artist and keeps them painting and adding beauty and culture to our community.
