Friday Follies
It’s Friday. Yay. I’m off to Orlando next week for a trade show but I will really try to get some posts in. I wish I was going there for art…but it is not to be.
I think we should finish on a light note with art that is not serious. Actually I don’t think – in general – that art should be serious. It should be here to add beauty to our lives. Right? Actually that leads me to an article I wrote about Art in The Every Day. Here’s the first paragraph- please click through to read the rest.
While researching the world of art and where it fits into our daily lives I found a plethora of information about art therapy and how it is used to combat mental illness. Usually referred to as art therapy, art is taught in clinics and schools and is a way for those suffering from mental illness to communicate or to create through an art medium. While I appreciate the efforts and applaud those involved with art therapy – what I was really looking for was how art is reflected in our daily lives and how it makes us healthier in simple everyday living. At The Pace Gallery from Robert Mangold. Nothing is more perfect than a circle and when it’s rendered perfectly it is even better.
Sometimes a tree is the best listener. From Deep With The Armoire.
SHITS AND GIGGLES
I found this from Sapling Press via Swiss Miss. Is this hilarious???
I feel a little Revolution coming on. This revolution is from Tony Aguero on Society 6.
And here is the best thing to end this post with. A handwritten sandwritten marriage proposal at Ocean Beach in SF. Kelly – did you say yes???
Till next week. Be good.

I think that I am in love with that Tony Aguero piece! Revolution 2.0
