Coffee and Things That Make Me Happy
Well – one is coffee.
What’s better than coffee when it’s mixed with art? This gorgeous print by Dianne Poinski brings both of my favorite things to the same place. Black and white with hand-colored touches…simple and lovely.
There is something so delicate and precious about bookplates and these by Cavallini are quaint and…just right.
Heather Clawson over at Habitually Chic always has a way of adding photographs that make me want to get away from winter and land in a garden…with a glass of wine. And here is a garden in Paris…(this is killing me). So – thanks to Heather and Marie Claire Maison for the inspiration.
And…speaking of beautiful things. Isn’t peace always a beautiful thing? I found this on Print and Pattern from Little Beehive.
I love anything Picasso – so how lucky to find Picasso – The Objects through Assouline. Described like this “The great photographer Edward Quinn shows how Picasso gave everyday objects new life in an imaginary world.”
And now a recipe for Mulled Wine with Brandy….because it’s just right.
3c water
1c sugar
1 lemon peel
1 cinnamon stick
15 cloves
1 bottle red wine
1/4 c brandy
Simmer all but wine and brandy in a cooking pot for 10 minutes. Add in the wine and heat back up until warm to the touch. Do not boil. Add in brandy and let sit for a while to absorb the flavors. Serve warm.
