Friday – yes it’s Friday
Plans. Hmmm….not yet. But it’s early. I’m looking forward to spending some time on artwork tomorrow because now that I am working again Saturday is my day to create and it’s a day to savor, drink coffee, take McGuyver for a walk and enjoy the hills that are turning green.
And it’s always a time – no matter when to savor our creative friends locally and globally.
**Here are some additions for this week.**
There is no reason that functional items can not also be beautiful. and this chopstick holder by Less and More is positively elegant. (and functional):
Here’s a recipe for Dark Chocolate Whoopie Pie. Naughty? Maybe.
I was thinking that maybe now through the holidays I would thrown in recipes just for fun…and to get fat.
If you get a chance check out the Exquisite Book published by Chronicle Books. BecauseĀ – it’s exquisite.
Oh here’s a book of City Walks Paris…must have for next summer. (25 cards…)
From Julia Cushing – through the UK Independent: Two chips having a moment.
Wear your Thanksgiving dinner around your neck. (why not? I totally would). From Heather N. Wells.
Art News!
Just read on This is Tomorrow – Gerd Arntz at Between Bridges in London.
Sublime…and simple….and somewhat haunting.
And lastly – sometimes beautiful things last centuries and the candle shop of Cire Trudon in France is no exception. Take a look at this gorgeous site that explains the history and process of this timeless purveyor of candles. BTW – eco-friendly as well and rumor has it that they opened in NYC.
Have a great weekend. Be well.
