Saturday Mash
We went to the Art For Aids Silent and Live Auction last night. Wow – so much talent and passion in one building. I wanted to buy everything but it simply wasn’t possible!. Oh but to dream right?
A few of my favorites are:
Work by Trish Tunney. Unfortunately the one that was featured is not on her website however this one from the Urban Series…is simply too good to not share:
Erika Meriaux offers portraits with soul and something cryptic and undefined. Dreamer in a Red Dress is similar to the piece sold last night.
Don’t miss Kristin Kyono, Annekarin Glass and Robin Denevan.
*****And a few other notes – Napa Vs Sonoma – see who won.
Creepy subject – cool graphics. (That should be a new art group). Stalkers….by Chris Hood.
Mat Cook gives us Paroxetine808. I don’t know what the name means but I know I love this piece. Three colors, limited edition and its subject matter is….music paranoia.
Typical Genius – says so much with simple type and bold RED.
Updates! Paper Girl SF received over 1000 entries! Holy crap that’s a lot of art. The art will be displayed and then….shared with the world. For free! Will you get lucky?
I’m not at the world Maker Faire - the first one ever! Because – I’m here on the West Coast…land of beaches and palm trees right? Ha…ok so no really if you are there I’m jealous and if you aren’t then celebrate the spirit of Maker Faire -right here. and get your artistic friends together and make stuff…any stuff…just let the creativity energy flow.
And on that note – have an artful weekend. Tell someone today that you LOVE them…and adopt a shelter pet today. Because everyone deserves a home.
